Sabbatical or not...

it is a Sunday and one month has past. On a previous Sunday, 10 days had past and I had made some progress in format. Well...change, if not progress. My spring cleaning has had its ups and downs. Since spring sprung, one week ago yesterday was a record high of 79 degrees, which followed by just two weeks a blizzard. Now amidst another blizzard, I will refocus my sabbatical a bit with a bit more on A Wonderful Conversation! and this bit on Progressive Values. *

Report from Sabbatical
Sabbatical

This is not necessarily a Newshounds blog, Colbert Report or Daily Show.
I don't read or view things so you don't have to, sometimes you do, and sometimes just scrolling over may provide enough. It is divagation and stochastic at its best, or sometimes worst. But it is not just all about them or us. My Navigation label needs updating, and the Navigation II label is about our course, or a combination or demonstration of it.

While names are not the thing(and they are coming slowly today), there is value in comparing and contrasting, and sometimes associations matter. Leadership and representation matters, and in journalism there is the ledership which sometimes leads back to my point: our headings, navigation and having to follow for oneself. Part of the spirit of this has been diffused in all seriousness, by the focus on the list and the Bills and Wills, but it is more about the network and bringing things to the table. So while the banner or name for the effort is still pending, as well as more on the principles(The club of association) I will begin listing the inspirations for the columns or sides of the table.

but link of war to economy is key. Reform of system that puts investor profits and executive bailouts over failure of so-called free markets, may be a pincer attack that Obama and Clinton can perform on the trickle-down. Meanwhile as far as pressure to get out of Iraq, remembering who the commander-in-chief is, not that he should get his way, but his way of getting out may be hampered by who he and his crowd are. They could leave a disaster as bad as they believe it will be, because they can or rather because they are unwilling to do what might work. Putting the war on the books is a start. The problem with some Democrats? They listen. The problem with others, they play by the rules. Grayson is the new Democrat, Franks the old Democrat. OK, I am trying not to spin this, but others spin about the situation.

I find it hard to blame the Republicans for holding the line for what they believe, right or wrong. I find it hard to urge the Democrats to hold the line by taking back from the table what may have been put in the package to appear non-partisan or to please certain pockets. But that is the nature of politics and the transparency is apparently being worked on. There still may be some passing the buck but it is about what works and change. Ching, ching, no pun.

BIG HINT: There is a table at the table;
Fiscal Economic Bank for the Buck Moody's basically seems to dispute what Republicans think(or at least say) works. In fact it seems that spending is 2 to 6 times more effective than tax cuts depending on the focus. In fact there is little bang for the buck Bush style. But this is apparently on GDP and that may not be an effective metric. One must still follow the money.

Hiatus of Thought

I was going to use the word with the intent to replace "Sabbatical" and figure out if was maybe be going to "third times a charm"** but maybe it is the "exception that proves the rule". Seldom do I actually fully read a piece before keying a few strokes and I may hit the rough but never take Mulligans.* It may be a none too subtle lie, but the irony is in the wedge, that John Fund hit. True, Southern Democrats played their part in the 1964 Civil Rights Bill filibuster, and so are they playing it now. But...things change.
* I think I will keep that punderstanding in my golf bag or locker...Hint: Cheetah's Club.
